Customer Service Staff myki is Melbourne’s new smart card ticketing system for public transport. The switch to myki is a significant and necessary change to our ticketing system. We’re looking for 600 myki mates to assist and educate Melbourne’s train, tram and bus commuters as they learn how to use myki. myki mates will be located at train stations, tram stops and bus interchanges across metropolitan Melbourne during peak travel periods and on weekends, providing information and assistance to customers. To become a myki mate, we require you to: be 18 years of age or over and entitled to work in Australia wear your myki uniform proudly have great communication skills (multi-lingual ability is advantageous) always display a positive attitude and deliver customer service excellence be prepared to pro-actively engage with commuters have the flexibility to work on a rotating roster, at varying locations and times of the day Training for myki mates will start in November 2009 and an attractive pay rate is on offer.
